MAKATI: With the growing demand of both local and international consumers for halal products and services in the Philippines, including financial and tourism sectors the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) intensified its drive and programs to meet the demand.
DTI Assistant Secretary Abdulgani Macatoman was among key speakers who gave welcome address and overview of the event. Under his leadership the Halal sector in the country has given its due importance as apparent in the activities taking place with the participation of major stakeholders. BFBCI officials were among invitees.
The two-day event (Nov. 7-8) dubbed “Halal Strategic Planning Workshop for the Export Development and Promotion Program” at the City Garden Grand Hotel, Makati City was attended by stakeholders, related government agencies and private sectors.
The said workshop aims to allow additional comments and inputs by experts and participants from various sectors.
